Hey All. If you are a diligent fan of our website, you read the discussion Ron-Ron and I had about product placement within the blog.
Well, we came up with another idea to take the idea of raising money for the blog ONE STEP FURTHER. We decided to contact various companies about our product-placement services. The following is an open letter we wrote to them. (Ronald actually did most of the writing, but I signed off on it!)
To All The Companies Of The World Who Make Things:
We are writing this Open Letter to present each and every one of you with an opportunity.
First a little about ourselves: we are two Dating Bloggers who have just begun a blog. We are trying to determine whether meeting people on the Internet is superior to meeting people in person. Practically everyone on Earth dates unless they are in an arranged marriage, so our blog is important to practically everyone.
We are chock full of potential, and by potential we mean the potential to sell products for companies.
(What do we mean by this? Well, this space on our blog right here ______ could be filled by the logo of any company in the world, such as… )
Now, a little about yourselves: you are a company, and probably a Fortune 500 one. Your products do not sell yourselves. You are in need of advertising, product placement, and, dare we say it, celebrity spokesmen.
(Not convinced? Here are some more possibilities _______ )
Again: we are both young bloggers/men from Los Angeles, we are upwardly mobile, and we have good demographics. Best of all, we have yet to sign on with any company for spokesman purposes.
So, we are offering our services to the company that presents us with the most attractive offer. You can place your products anywhere in our blog or, better yet, you can hire us to become your spokesmen. (The second option is the more attractive of the two options).
We are open for business as of now.
